  39°N has recently contracted with a northeastern US pipeline construction firm to create a real-time data management system to help them track the remediation of slurry ponds at a refinery in Ploiesti, Romania.

  Geospatial information collected in the field will be transmitted in near real time to web servers in the United States using GPS units tethered to cellular phones. 39°N's mobile application, which is built on top of ArcGIS Server technology, makes this communication possible between the mobile units and the ArcSDE database.
