39 DEGREES NORTH attended the June 2007 HIFLD Meeting in San Diego, CA.
The primary focus of this two-day HIFLD meeting was the availability and use of geospatial data characterizing natural and man-made hazards and the geospatially modeling of these hazards to assess their impact on population and infrastructure. The session agenda included presentations on the use of geospatial data and applications to visualize, model, assess vulnerabilities, and plan emergency responses to a variety of hazards. Other presentations addressed topics of general interest to the geospatial Homeland Defense/Homeland Security (HD/HLS) Community.
